About AI Color
AI Color exists because choosing colour is the part of design that most reliably stalls a project, and almost every tool that claims to help either produces random swatches or requires an account first.
What this is
A free AI colour palette generator, plus the supporting tools you actually need around it: image extraction, mixing, contrast checking, shade ramps and gradients. Everything works without an account, and everything is free with no usage cap.
The generator understands language rather than just keywords, so a phrase like "fog over a fishing harbour at dawn" produces a genuinely different result from "blue". Behind it sits a deterministic colour-harmony engine that takes over whenever the model is unavailable, which means the tool never simply fails.
How palettes are chosen
Every generated palette is scored before it is published. Palettes with near-duplicate swatches, no usable lightness range, or no pair that can carry readable text are kept out of the public collections. That filtering is why the browse pages are worth browsing.
The collections themselves are organised by the way people actually search: by colour family, by aesthetic, by season, by mood and by the job at hand. If a collection does not have enough good palettes to fill a page, it stays hidden until it does.
What we do not do
Images you upload for colour extraction never leave your browser. There is no analytics on the extraction step, no upload endpoint, and nothing is stored.
There is no paid tier, no watermark and no export limit. If you sign in, it is only so that saved palettes follow you between devices.
